


Google has announced the release of stable versions of its Gemini 1.5 application programming interface (API) models, promising enhanced performance and reduced production costs for developers. The launch, which took place on September 24, includes the Gemini 1.5 Pro and Gemini 1.5 Flash models, each offering significant improvements over their predecessors.
The new production-ready models, designated as gemini-1.5-pro-002 and gemini-1.5-flash-002, have demonstrated substantial enhancements in various areas, including:

Video Analysis: Enhanced capabilities in processing and understanding video content.

One of the most significant changes is the reduction in pricing for the Gemini 1.5 Pro model, which has dropped by more than 50%. Google claims that this new model also offers three times higher rate limits and lower latency compared to previous experimental versions.
